Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter-caste Marriage Assistance
Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter-caste Marriage Assistance is one of the most important schemes started by the Tamil Nadu government to neglect caste, religion, or social discrimination among people. The Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department launched this scheme.
This scheme promotes inter-caste marriage by providing financial assistance for newly married couples. It is a great effort of the government to empower the women of Tamil Nadu, encourage inter-caste marriage, bring social harmony, and abolish untouchability and discrimination.
Benefits:
Scheme I:
- Financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 is provided.
- Rs.15,000 is send to an Electronic Clearing Service (ECS), and also, Rs.10,000 to a National Savings Certificate.
- Moreover, 1 Pavan (8 Grams) of gold coin in 22 Carat is offered by the Tamil Nadu Government to make Thirumangalyam.
Scheme II:
- Financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 is provided.
- Rs.30,000 is send to an Electronic Clearing Service (ECS), and also, Rs.20,000 to a National Savings Certificate.
- Furthermore, 1 Pavan (8 Grams) of gold coin in 22 Carat is offered by the Tamil Nadu Government to make Thirumangalyam.
Eligibility for Application:
Scheme I:
- The Bride should be above the age of 18 years during the marriage.
- Also, the bride should have passed the 10th standard.
- Suppose, the bride belongs to the scheduled caste then she should have at least passed in 5th Standard.
- Anyone in the couple should belong to a Scheduled Tribe or Scheduled caste, and the other can be of any caste are eligible to apply for this scheme.
Scheme II:
- The Bride should be above the age of 18 years during the marriage.
- Moreover, the bride should have passed the 10th standard.
- Suppose, the bride belongs to the scheduled caste then at least should have passed 5th Standard.
- Anyone in the couple should be a degree or diploma holder who studied in College, distance education, or government-recognized university.
- Anyone in the couple should belong to a backward class such as BC/MBC, and the other should be from unbarred community are eligible to apply for this scheme.
Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter-caste Marriage Assistance Scheme Time Limit:
- Couples should apply for this scheme within two years from the date of marriage.
- Moreover, there is no age or income limit to attain the benefits from this scheme.
