What is Baal Aadhar Card?
Baal Aadhar Card for child is the identity proof given by the government of India for the child below the age of 5 Years. It is 12 digit unique number given by the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). Also, each Individuals will have their own unique identification number.
Baal Aadhar Card will be Blue in color. This shows that it is for Children below the age of 5 Years. Whereas the adult Aadhar Card will be white in color.
The children between the age of 5 Years to 15 Years, the color and feature of the Aadhar card will be same as that of the adults card. Once, the unique identity number is given to the individual, it will not be changed.

Key Features:
No Biometric for below 5 Years:
- No need of the Biometrics of a child below the age of 5 Years.
- But, only the photograph of the child will be considered for Aadhar.
- Moreover, any one of the parents Aadhar card details is mandatory.

Free Aadhar Card:
No fee is applicable for Baal Aadhar Card. Aadhar card is of free of cost.
Registration of Biometrics for above 5 Years:
- Only if the child is above 5 Years, then the biometrics of 10 fingers and IRIS Scan will be registered.
- The Aadhar center will take the Photograph again to update their Aadhar card as the child is above 5 Years.
Age 5 to15:
- Updation and confirmation of the details will be done for the children above the age of 15 years.
- Also, this Aadhar card registration or updating method will be the same as that of the adults.
Documents Required for Baal Aadhar Card for child:

Documents for Before 5 Years :
- Child’s Birth Certificate / Discharge summary of Hospital.
- Aadhar Card of any one parent.
For 5-15 years:
- Child’s Birth Certificate / Discharge summary of Hospital.
- Identity Proof:
School identity card
Identity Certificate issued by the Tahsildar/Officer with the letterhead containing the child’s photograph
Aadhar Card of any one parent.
Bonafede Certificate on the letterhead of the Institution.
- Address proof:
Address proof Certificate issued by the Panchayat officer.
                             or
Address proof Certificate issued by the M.P/M.L.A/Tahsildar/Officer with the letterhead containing the child’s photograph
How to apply for Baal Aadhar Card:
Before 5 Years:
- Firstly, visit the nearest Aadhar Enrollment Centre.

- Secondly, fill out the application form for the Baal Aadhar Card.
- Any one of the parents must give their Aadhar card details in this form.
- Then, UIDAI will take a photograph of your child.
- Also, submit the biometric and IRIS scan of the parents.
- Submit the photocopy of Child’s Birth Certificate / Discharge summary of the Hospital.
- Finally, an acknowledgment slip with the registration number will be given. Using the number the status of your baal aadhar card.
Application Form Child below the age of 5 Years
For 5-15 years:
- Firstly, visit the nearest Aadhar Enrollment Centre.

- If no proof of address for your child, provide your Aadhar card details.
- Submit the application form along with the documents needed.
- During this process, Aadhar enrolment center will take the Biometrics of 10 fingers, IRIS scan, and photograph of your child.
- Finally, you will get the Acknowledgement slip with the Registration number, Registered date and time.
- Track the Aadhar card status using the Registration number.
Application Form Children between the age of 5 to 15 years
Important Points
- Within 90 days, Aadhar card will generated and sent to the applicants.
- When the children reaches the age of 15 years, he or she should update their Aadhar card details.
