Apply e-shram card: E-Shram scheme was introduced by the Indian Government in September 2021. The aim of providing E-shram is to give an identity to the unorganized workers and also to provide financial and career assistance to those with uncertain economies. Let us see how to Apply E-shram card.

This is an electronic document provided to the unorganized workers by the Ministry of Labor and Management.

Benefits of E-shram Card:

Suppose an E-shram cardholder is dead due to any reason, the family will be given Rs. 2,00,000, and financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,000 will be given in case of any disability

In government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PMSYMY), the unorganized worker who attained 60 years of age will get pension benefit of Rs.3,000 for every month.

In case of the death of an unorganized worker, his/her family will get financial assistance on behalf.

If an unorganized worker has no job, he/she will get career assistance from the National Career Services Portal.

Who is Unorganized Workers?

An Unorganized worker means people who are home-based workers, self-employed, or work in any unorganized sector such as wage workers or workers without any government benefits provided in organized sectors. Also, the people who are not members of ESIC and EPFO and not a government employee.

People who work in unorganized sectors are generally laborers with low incomes and unstable job opportunity.

Eligibility

The applicant should be an Indian Resident.
Also, applicants should not be members of EPFO/ESIC and NPS.
Therefore, candidates should be working in the unorganized sector
Moreover, the candidate should be of age 16 to 59 while applying for this.
Candidate should not pay any income tax.

Application method

Apply e-shram card online

Applicants who want to apply for E-shram, visit the e-shram portal.

Under the “Self Registration” tab, provide the mobile number linked with the Aadhar card and enter the Captcha.

Choose the option if you are a member of EPFO and ESIC and Click on “Submit”. Then, enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.

Next, enter your 14-digit Aadhar number, CAPTCHA, select the option OTP, click on Terms and Conditions, and then Submit it.

Now, enter the OTP received on your mobile number.

Next, redirection to the application form. Thus, provide all the below details in the registration form.

Personal Information
Address
Educational qualifications
Occupation, and skills.
Bank details.

After providing all the details, click on “Save and Continue”. Preview the form to check whether you have provided the correct information and submit the form.
